Job summary

The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks a City Research Scientist to oversee viral hepatitis linkage to care initiatives, analyze program data, and guide quality improvement projects in collaboration with internal and external partners. The role emphasizes evidence-based strategies and capacity-building within the Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and STIs.

With a focus on surveillance, policy, and program evaluation, the position supports dissemination of findings, training, and equity

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health or related field.
• Experience collecting, managing, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting data.
• Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contracts and budgets ensuring timely invoicing per agency policies.
• Plan and coordinate with contractors the linkage to care initiatives using Salesforce, MS Teams and Planner.
• Analyze program data and perform quality assurance using REDCap, SAS, Tableau, MS Forms.
