Job summary

The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks a City Research Scientist to lead viral hepatitis linkage to care initiatives, analyze program data, and supervise staff. You will partner with clinicians, program managers, and community organizations to improve outcomes and apply evidence-based strategies.

Responsibilities include monitoring contracts, coordinating with contractors, and contributing to equity and capacity-building activities while staying current on hepatitis

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, health management, or related field.
• Experience collecting, managing, cleaning, and reporting data.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contracts and budgets; ensure invoicing compliance.
• Plan and coordinate linkage to care initiatives with contractors.
• Analyze program data and conduct quality assurance.
• Engage with stakeholders to address service delivery needs.
• Develop and evaluate quality improvement projects to increase screening and treatment rates.
• Supervise one or two staff and contribute to capacity building.
