Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a highly experienced Level 5 Lead Systems Engineer to serve as the vehicle-level technical leader for MK1-102, the mission delivering NASA's VIPER rover. You will own end-to-end systems engineering for the vehicle as it matures toward CDR, integrating VIPER payloads and ensuring verification and validation through campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years in systems engineering roles within aerospace/defense or related industries.
• Experience as technical lead for full-vehicle or multi-element system development.

Responsibilities

• Own the vehicle-level technical baseline from requirements through flight.
• Define and manage vehicle and mission requirements and design parameter allocations.
• Drive DACs toward Critical Design Review and ensure design closure.
