Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Space Vehicle Verification and Validation Lead in Virginia to oversee verification across Blue Ring missions. You will define, capture, and manage mission-specific requirements and verification artifacts, coordinating with engineering teams to ensure a fully qualified system ready for launch.

You will contribute to model-based system engineering efforts, manage verification data, and report metrics to leadership while supporting ground and launch-site testing.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Software engineering or equivalent
• 8+ years of space system development or test engineering experience
• 2+ years of spacecraft verification experience
• Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jama, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform as the System Verification Lead for Blue Ring missions, including requirements decomposition and allocation
• Collaborate with Spacecraft Systems, Flight Software, Payload & Mission Integration, and Ground Systems teams to define verification plans
• Engage with government agencies and contractors to analyze customer and mission verification needs
• Develop and manage requirements and verification modules with traceability
• Establish verification approaches and plans for system requirements and interfaces
• Provide verification data and reports to demonstrate compliance to requirements
• Support launch site system testing and integration activities
• Deliver verification reports to ensure launch and operational readiness
