Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Deskside Engineer to provide onsite support for end users in Minneapolis, MN. The role covers laptops/desktops, mobile devices, peripherals, and collaboration tech, with a strong focus on executive support and VIP users.

The candidate will troubleshoot across Windows and macOS, perform IMACD and asset lifecycle activities, and collaborate with Service Desk and engineering teams to resolve incidents efficiently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Deskside Support or Field Services
• 5+ years of Windows support (Windows 10/11)
• 3+ years of ServiceNow experience
• 3+ years of Microsoft 365/Office 365 support
• 3+ years of IT asset management (IMACD) experience
• Strong networking fundamentals and endpoint troubleshooting
• Experience supporting macOS environments
• Experience with ITIL Incident/Request Management

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside and field support for laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, connectivity, printing, mobility, and peripheral issues
• Perform IMACD activities including installations, moves, additions, changes, decommissions
• Support onboarding, device deployment, refreshes, hardware swaps, break/fix, and asset recovery
• Provide white-glove and VIP executive support for high-priority issues and meeting support
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 and macOS devices and related issues
• Support Microsoft 365/Office 365 apps and Teams and collaboration tech
• Support Teams Rooms, conference rooms, AV equipment and meeting tech
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and endpoint connectivity issues
• Maintain asset lifecycle management and inventory records
• Create, update, manage, and resolve incidents in ServiceNow
• Collaborate with Service Desk, infrastructure, network, apps, and engineering teams
• Follow ITIL-based incident and change management processes
• Maintain technical documentation and resolution notes
• Ensure positive end-user experience with clear communication and ownership
