Job summary

Opportunities for Otsego is seeking a dedicated VIP Office Administrator in Oneonta, NY to coordinate office operations for the Violence Intervention Program. The role supports victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and related crimes across Otsego County.

You will schedule client appointments, manage program data, handle invoices, and assist staff with IT and office tasks. This full-time position requires strong organizational skills and a NY driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree desirable; 2 years admin experience; strong spreadsheet and database skills; NY driver’s license.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and office organization abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling client appointments and providing daily program schedules to reception.
  • Generating program purchase requests/orders and reconciling invoices.
  • Entering data into databases and assisting in program data management.
  • Tracking VIP program revenue and expenditures.
  • Assisting staff with routine IT and office equipment problems.
  • Maintaining fixed asset inventory and coordinating supply orders.

VIP Office Administrator

Opportunities for Otsego's Violence Intervention Program team is seeking a skilled office administrator to organize and coordinate office operations and procedures for OFO's Violence Intervention Program (VIP). For nearly 30 years, the Violence Intervention Program has provided support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes throughout Otsego County.

The VIP Office Administrator makes a difference by:

  • Scheduling client appointments and providing the programs daily schedules to reception
  • Generating program purchase requests/orders, check requests, and reconciling program invoices
  • Entering data into data bases and assisting in program data management
  • Tracking and maintaining VIP program revenue and expenditures
  • Assisting program staff with routine information technology and office equipment problems
  • Maintaining fixed asset inventory and coordinating orders of supplies and materials
Minimum Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED/HSED required; Associate’s degree in business administration desirable; two years of relevant experience in office and administrative work; strong skills in spreadsheet and database software, office organization, and interpersonal communication; valid, unrestricted New York State driver’s license

Expected Skills:

Technical and service skills required by duties; client service orientation; accountability for results; teamwork; adaptability; reliability

Working Conditions:

Typical office environment and equipment; occasional local travel; work with clients in crisis
