Job summary

Novelis is seeking a Deskside Support Engineer to provide hardware/software support for onsite and remote clients, including VIP users. You will diagnose and repair end-user systems, peripherals, and contribute to Digital Workplace projects such as OneDrive migrations and Office 2016 rollout.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related field, 4–6 years of tech support experience, and strong communication skills. Travel is limited; hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in technical support.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware and networking systems, operating systems, web services, and API.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to explain complex technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Deskside Support Services to onsite/remote clients including break/fix.
• Diagnose end-user system failures and implement repair solutions.
• Diagnose printer and peripheral device failures and implement repair solutions.
• Provide tier 1 customer service as escalation point to senior/VIP users and lead incidents to closure.
• Execute Digital Workplace Deskside Projects and Deployment Activities as required.
• Advise on projects regarding existing DWP Deskside services.
• Contribute to DWP projects and deployments like PC lifecycle replacements or migrations (OneDrive, Office 2016).
• Support Windows, macOS, iOS and Android platforms for senior/VIP users.
