Job summary

Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT invites a friendly VIP Host to join on-call operations. You will take reservations, greet guests, seat tables, and present menus in line with department policies while promoting upcoming venue events.

Responsibilities include managing reservations via NightPro and OpenTable, coordinating seating, handling guest inquiries, and maintaining a polished host area in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Makes reservations via the NightPro and Open Table systems.
• Coordinates all guest seating in accordance with front of house operations.
• Observes tables and keeps track of clean, dirty and occupied tables.
• Takes guest information and quotes accurate wait times and minimums.
• Assists in keeping general admission and VIP lines in order.
• Answers phones, assists guests and takes messages for management.
• Communicates effectively with sales and catering management regarding large party inquiries.
• Answers guest questions concerning restaurant and nightlife operations.
• Interacts with all guests and team members throughout service.
• Promotes upcoming venue events and reaches out to VIP guests and regular clients to make reservations.
• Cleans and organizes the Host area and ensures menus are stocked and are in presentable condition.
• Maintains all comps, paper comp voids, special request forms, coupon vouchers and tickets.
• Assists department manager in opening and closing duties including arranging the room, setting tables and preparing for special events.
