Job summary

Insomniac Events seeks a proactive VIP Experience Production Crew member for on-site event execution. You will perform load-in/load-out of VIP design elements, assist with installation of custom environments, and support VIP Decor and Lighting teams while following detailed drawings and safety rules.

Ideal candidates have carpentry experience, a valid license and passport, and a toolkit. You’ll work long hours at dynamic events, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of art department and/or carpentry experience.
• Festival and/or film production experience preferred.
• Must possess tool kit including basic hand and power tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license and U.S. passport.
• Must have a credit card for hotel incidentals.
• Ability to operate forklift, boom lift, scissor lift preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools and saws.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies and two-way radio.
• Own a working mobile device, smartphone preferred.
• Able to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 75 lbs.
• Willing to work 8+ hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Load-in/install and load-out of VIP design elements.
• Install custom environments; assist 3rd party vendor operations.
• Assist VIP Decor and Lighting teams as needed.
• Follow drawings to install elements; perform carpentry/painting tasks.
• Repair, maintain, and organize VIP assets.
• Assist assembly and dismantling of stage equipment.
• Use hand and power tools and material handling equipment.
• Communicate project updates to crew leads; follow safety regulations.
• Operate work areas safely and professionally; travel to events as required.
• Support emergency repairs and report issues to management.
