Job summary

Insomniac is seeking a proactive VIP Experience Production Crew member in California to execute VIP design elements, assist with installation and decor, and support lighting teams during events. The role requires carpentry skills and the ability to operate standard hand and power tools, with readiness to travel for shows.

You will work closely with the VIP Production Manager and Art Director, ensuring safety, quality, and timely completion of tasks in a fast-paced festival environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years art department / carpentry exp.
• Festival or film production exp. preferred.
• Toolkit incl. basic hand & power tools.
• Valid US driver license & US passport.
• Valid credit card for hotel incidentals.
• Forklift/boomlift/scissor lift experience preferred.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork.
• Smartphone or mobile device required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk long hours.

Responsibilities

• Load-in and load-out of design elements and props.
• Install and maintain VIP set pieces and decor.
• Coordinate with VIP Decor and Lighting teams.
• Follow detailed drawings for installations.
• Perform carpentry and painting tasks as needed.
• Repair and maintain VIP assets and stage equipment.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Report progress and issues to crew leads.
• Comply with safety regulations and policies.
• Work 8+ hours as required and travel to events.
