Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a vinyl window assembler in Streetsboro, OH. You will read work orders, assemble windows on a production line, install frames and glass, and inspect for quality. The role requires attention to detail, dexterity with hand and power tools, and the ability to work safely on a 2nd shift.

You’ll routinely cross-train across lines, meet daily production goals, and help prepare finished products for shipment while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate $21.00 per hour

2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00 PM-3:30 AM (Friday overtime as needed)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vinyl window assembler you will meticulously assemble the components of vinyl windows using various tools and machinery, ensuring all parts are properly fitted together according to specifications, while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols in a production line setting.

Responsibilities:

• Read work orders
• Attach frame sections, install glass panes, and secure hardware using hand and power tools such as screw guns
• Inspect completed windows for defects like gaps, misalignment, and damage, ensuring they meet quality standards
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work within established timelines to meet daily production goals
• Crosstrain across different production lines
• Prepare finished products for shipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  
  

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity: Ability to handle small parts with precision and perform repetitive tasks
• Attention to detail: Meticulously inspect each window for quality issues
• Basic mechanical skills: Understanding of hand and power tools
• Reading comprehension:Ability to read and interpret work orders
