The Village of Worden is seeking a dedicated Village Collector to manage collections, deposit funds, and maintain essential financial records for the village. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, knowledge of Illinois financial regulations, and proficiency with financial software and data analysis tools.

This is an in-person role with pay starting at $24 per hour and a 37.5-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable or collections management.
• Understanding of debits/credits and reconciliations.
• Excellent phone communication and customer service.
• Proficiency with Excel and Locis billing software.
• FOIA/OMA certifications to be obtained within 30 days.

Responsabilités

• Collect and deposit General Fund revenues.
• Payroll processing and related reports.
• Prepare payroll checks and supporting reports.
• Process 941 and W-2 reports.
• Maintain accounts payable/receivable; issue checks.
• Send delinquent shutoff notices and negotiate pay.
• Maintain cemetery records and related filings.
