Job summary

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, seeks a Videographer in Oahu, HI. You will handle media assignments for a new materials laboratory, delivering AV demonstrations and media products for NAVWAR PAO.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, ability to lift gear, and a DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one. Reels must show 3–5 diverse productions; strong editing and photography skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • B.S. or B.A. film, advertising, marketing, communications, or media required and/or four years of equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy camera equipment and infrequently work in difficult terrain and austere locations.
  • Include link to a reel with 3–5 video productions and indicate your role.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, producing, and publishing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain/reset this clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate professional video equipment (DSLRs, audio, lighting).
  • Edit footage using Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Create and maintain image databases and produce material for production.
  • Develop and implement AV projects and demonstrations for NAVWAR PAO.
  • Capture technical photography with advanced lighting and macro techniques.
  • Maintain digital signage content for events and facility tours.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC, a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC, has an exciting opportunity for a Videographer to join our team in Oahu, HI. This role will provide media assignments in support of a brand-new materials laboratory at the Forge onboard Schofield Barracks. This includes Audio/Visual project demonstrations, project and production advertisements, as well as media relations for various commands and organiztions for the Naval Warfare (NAVWAR) Public Affairs Office (PAO).

  • Required to use professional video equipment, including DSLR cameras, video, sound engineering, video editing, photography, and related tools.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of sophisticated editing software such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premier Pro.
  • Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator and Lightbox software preferred. Required to collect and edit data from known sources and use specific software applications for integration of final products for production.
  • Technical development of and implementation of products using multiple software applications/relevant languages relative to producing quality audio/video/software packages.
  • Create technical photography of engineering parts including the use of advanced lighting techniques, macro photography, shooting with a fixed copy stand, using scale bars, etc. Must be able to build and maintain a well-labeled image database according to customer needs.
  • Maintain digital signage content and scheduling for ongoing events and facility tour purposes.

Pay Range:$36.05 to $43.26 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • B.S. or B.A. film, advertising, marketing, communications, or media is required and/or four years of equivalent experience, particularly in news media or film production industry.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy camera equipment and infrequently work in difficult terrain, at heights, in cramped shipboard environments, and other austere locations.
  • Include link to a reel including 3-5 video productions of varying subject matter, length, and complexity. Include details of your role in the production (i.e. camera op, grip, DoP, director, etc)
  • Strong script writing, editing, proofreading, producing, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present highly technical concepts visually and verbally.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship status required.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or be able to obtain or reestablish this level of clearance.
