Job summary

Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Uni is seeking a Personal Teller at our Corporate Headquarters in Chattanooga, TN to deliver exceptional member service while processing transactions and building member relationships.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills (including bilingual), attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced banking environment, including weekends or extended hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in finance or related fields are a plus.
• Proven experience in customer service or sales role, preferable within the banking or credit union industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly, including on video.
• Bilingual communication skills are highly preferred.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle member concerns professionally and empathetically.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and maintaining member records.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using email and Microsoft Office tools.
• Flexibility to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and building long-term member relationships.

Responsibilities

• Answer sessions and complete tasks promptly, aiming for high session efficiency.
• Provide exceptional member service and maintain high satisfaction scores.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information.
• Balance sessions with minimal variance and keep within $100 on a yearly basis.
• Answer routine to complex questions about products, services, policies and procedures.
• Complete required training and adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate TVFCU core values in every interaction with members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
