Job summary

Evolver is seeking a Video Services Installation Technician to install, integrate, and sustain enterprise AV and unified communications systems across customer sites. The technician will deploy displays, cameras, microphones, and racks, perform cabling, and configure Microsoft Teams Rooms for conference and collaboration capabilities.

The role requires hands-on installation, testing, and problem solving in enterprise environments, with travel within the continental United States as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and supporting enterprise AV and unified communications systems.
• Familiarity with AV signal flow, HDMI/DisplayPort, and network integration.
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Install and integrate AV and collaboration systems (displays, cameras, mics, speakers).

Evolver is seeking a Video Services Installation Technician to provide installation, integration, and sustainment support for enterprise audiovisual (AV) and unified communications systems. The technician will execute system deployments, perform troubleshooting, and support refresh and modernization efforts in accordance with approved designs, technical documentation, and established standards. Work is performed independently and as part of a team, with coordination across government personnel, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of conference room and collaboration capabilities. Travel to customer locations within the continental United States may be required.

What you'll do

• Install and integrate AV and collaboration systems, including displays, LED video walls, cameras, microphones, speakers, and amplifiers.
• Install, terminate, and test structured cabling (CAT5e/6/6a), speaker wiring, and associated infrastructure.
• Deploy and support Microsoft Teams Rooms and related conferencing technologies.
• Perform system commissioning, signal validation, and functional testing.
• Read and interpret AV schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Assemble and install equipment racks, ensuring proper cable management and labeling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in conference rooms and classroom environments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and sustainment activities to maintain system availability.

Basic Qualifications

• US Citizen with ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• 2years of experience installing, integrating, and supporting AV and unified communications systems in enterprise environments.
• Experience deploying and supporting Microsoft Teams Rooms or similar enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Working knowledge of AV over IP and basic network integration (e.g., switching, addressing, connectivity).
• Familiarity with Extron AV control and processing systems, or equivalent technologies.
• Understanding of AV signal flow, including HDMI, DisplayPort, audio systems, and network-based media transport.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in on-site and remote support scenarios.
• Proficiency with installation tools, cable termination tools, and AV/system testing equipment.
• Ability to perform physical installation work, including lifting equipment and working in confined or technical spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and standard incident processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or equivalent experience preferred; manufacturer or platform-specific certifications (e.g., Microsoft Teams Rooms, Extron) are highly desirable.
