Job summary

International Executive Service Corps seeks an Interpreter to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpreting via video in a call center environment. The role requires fluent ASL and spoken English, accurate interpreting, and strict adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

The position is part-time, with a flexible 15-hour per 6-week scheduling window, and includes benefits such as telehealth, 401(k) with employer match, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Accurate interpretation skills.
• Good understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure of credentials where applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service and video remote interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company's mission and values.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional attitude to customers and colleagues.
• Maintain punctuality and preparedness for shifts; interact respectfully with colleagues and supervisors; keep timely and accurate records.
• Adhere to all company policies and FCC regulations.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and multitask between interpreting and video use.
• Participate in company-sponsored training for professional development.
• Meet performance expectations with minimal supervision.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Onsite interpreting offered based on business need; driving rights, license and insurance may be required.
