Job summary

Algolia is seeking a Multimedia Content Creator in Boston to own video production from concept to publish. You will shoot, edit, and publish social-first content while supporting day-to-day publishing and community engagement.

You'll work with a Social Media Manager to grow our video presence, repurpose Academy content for social, and craft platform-native videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and more.

Qualifications

Hands-on video production experience (school, internship, freelance, or professional).
Experience editing short-form social content.
Comfort with a fast-paced, first-of-its-kind role.

Responsibilities

Create, edit, and publish social-first video content across platforms.
Support planning and management of the social media calendar.
Film and produce lightweight video content using available gear.
Edit videos for multiple formats and platforms, including captions and thumbnails.
Audit and revitalize YouTube channel and build a content growth plan.
Write social copy tailored to each channel.
Monitor trends, platform updates, and competitor activity to spot opportunities.
Engage with audiences through comments, messages and community conversations.
Track content performance and prepare basic reporting on key metrics.
Repurpose long-form content into short, promotional videos for social.
Collaborate with marketing, design, product, and Academy teams to support campaigns.
Maintain an organized library of video assets and templates.
Ensure content aligns with brand voice and visual identity.
Up to 20% travel.
