Job summary

Sinclair, Inc. is seeking an experienced News Video Editor to join our West Michigan content center. The role focuses on editing daily news coverage, special projects and multi-platform content, working with anchors, reporters, photographers and producers to craft compelling video segments.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, creative, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment. This position requires flexibility to work holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree or minimum one year relative experience in the field.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team.
• Positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics
• Understands news is a 24/7 business, able to work holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

• - Editing video for daily news coverage, special projects and our multiple platforms as needed
• -Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
• -Collaborating with anchors, reporters, photographers and producers on video elements of newscasts
• -Meeting daily deadlines in a high energy work environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

• -College degree or minimum one (1) year relative experience in the field
• -Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro is a plus
