Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group's WWMT/ARC West Michigan seeks an experienced News Video Editor to join our content center, bringing creativity and precision to daily news coverage.

You will edit video for daily reports and specials, ingest feeds from bureaus, and collaborate with anchors, reporters, photographers and producers to craft compelling on-air and digital elements, while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College degree or minimum one year relative experience in the field.
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team.
• Positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics.
• Understands news is a 24/7 business, able to work holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

• Editing video for daily news coverage, special projects and our multiple platforms as needed
• Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
• Collaborating with anchors, reporters, photographers and producers on video elements of newscasts
• Meeting daily deadlines in a high energy work environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

• -College degree or minimum one (1) year relative experience in the field
• -Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro is a plus
• -Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team
• -Positive attitude
• -Basic knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics
• -Understands news is a 24/7 business, able to work holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
