ABC7 News is seeking a seasoned Video Editor to join our newsroom, shaping compelling visual content across broadcast and digital platforms. You will edit daily news, ingest feeds, and collaborate with anchors and producers to tell impactful stories under tight deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ experience in video editing, with proficiency in Avid NewsCutter XP and Adobe Premiere preferred. Travel and varied shifts may be required in a 24/7 news environment.

• Ingest and manage news feeds from external sources

• Meet tight daily deadlines in a high-energy, fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 year of relevant experience in video editing for commercial production.
• Proficiency in Avid NewsCutter XP and Adobe Premiere is strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team
• Positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics
• Understands news is a 24/7 business, able to work holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $26.44 to $31.25. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certificates, and geographic location.
