Job summary

ABC7 News in Arlington, VA seeks a seasoned Video Editor to shape compelling visual storytelling across broadcast and digital platforms. You will edit daily news, ingest feeds from multiple sources, and collaborate with anchors, reporters and producers to craft impactful stories under tight deadlines.

Proficiency in Avid NewsCutter XP and Adobe Premiere is strongly preferred. A Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 2 years of relevant editing experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or minimum 2 years of relevant video editing experience.
• Proficiency in Avid NewsCutter XP and Adobe Premiere strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work effectively with team.
• Knowledge of journalistic standards and ethics.
• Willingness to work holidays, nights and weekends in a 24/7 newsroom.

Qualifications:

• Understands news is a 24/7 business, able to work holidays, nights and weekends as needed.

The hourly compensation range for this role is $26.44 to $31.25. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
