Carson City District Attorney's Office is seeking a full-time Victim/Witness Services Clerk in Carson City, Nevada. The role involves providing information on the criminal justice system to victims and witnesses, guiding them through restitution processes, and monitoring case status throughout the judicial process.

The position requires two years of college coursework in a related field and two years of experience in a legal or court support setting. A valid driver's license is required.

Competenze

• Equivalent to two years of college-level coursework in criminal justice, sociology, psychology or related field.
• Two years of full-time experience in a legal or court support function.
• Driver's license required.

Mansioni

• Provide information on the criminal justice system, restitution policies, court status to victims and witnesses in person or by phone.
• Provide crisis intervention to victims to reduce trauma and facilitate adjustment.
• Assist victims/witnesses in completing forms, arranging interviews, and accessing services.
• Refer victims to support organizations and assist with counseling and protective services.
• Assist victims in obtaining compensation and restitution; assess eligibility and help complete forms.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, and maintain case records and documentation.
