Job summary

City of Cheyenne seeks a Police Victim Assistance Coordinator to lead the Victim Assistance program within the Police Department. The role focuses on supervising staff, overseeing grants, and coordinating services across agencies to support crime victims and survivors.

The coordinator will monitor budgets, ensure compliance with federal and state funding streams, and provide guidance for program development and reporting.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old and compassionate communication.
• At least 3 years advocacy or human services experience.
• Grant writing and management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Victim Assistance staff and volunteers.
• Monitor Victim Assistance budget and interact with department accountant.
• Ensure grant compliance across four funding streams.
• Prepare and submit fiscal and performance reports.
• Coordinate services with state, county, local, and nonprofit agencies.
• Provide crisis intervention on a rotating on-call basis.
• Assist victims with compensation applications and court processes.
