Job summary

Ledgend Group is hiring a Vice President or Director of Structured Finance with an independent investment bank in New York. The role offers end-to-end structuring responsibilities across asset-backed and esoteric assets, with real ownership of execution and meaningful upside tied to the deals you close.

You will build cash flow models, manage rating agency interactions, and work directly with issuers, sponsors, legal counsel, and investors.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in structured finance, securitization, or asset-backed finance.
• Hands-on structuring experience across ABS, esoteric, or specialty finance asset classes.
• Rating agency fluency and strong cash flow modeling skills.
• Series 79 and 63, or the ability to obtain them promptly.
• Comfort operating in a small, entrepreneurial environment where you own your work.

Responsibilities

• Structure asset-backed and esoteric transactions end to end, from initial design through closing.
• Build and maintain cash flow and waterfall models, including tranching, credit enhancement, and trigger structures.
• Own the rating agency process, including model reviews, methodology discussions, and securing preliminary and final ratings.
• Work directly with issuers, sponsors, legal counsel, and investors through documentation and execution.
• Support origination and grow into client coverage over time.

Our client is a boutique structuring and placement agent with a growing mandate book across infrastructure credit, equipment finance, specialty finance, litigation finance, and other esoteric asset classes. This is a build seat reporting directly to the founder, with real ownership of execution and meaningful upside tied to the deals you close.

What you will do

• Structure asset-backed and esoteric transactions end to end, from initial design through closing
• Build and maintain cash flow and waterfall models, including tranching, credit enhancement, and trigger structures
• Own the rating agency process, including model reviews, methodology discussions, and securing preliminary and final ratings
• Work directly with issuers, sponsors, legal counsel, and investors through documentation and execution

What we are looking for

Compensation is base salary plus a direct share of fee revenue on transactions you execute, with no cap.
