VP, RMBS Origination – Structured Finance | Leading Investment Firm | NYC

We are working confidentially with a leading global investment firm to identify a Vice President for their RMBS origination business. This is a senior seat for someone ready to own client relationships and drive new business origination directly, rather than support someone else's coverage.

The Role

You will lead transaction execution and new business origination within the RMBS space — owning client relationships, driving strategic marketing efforts, and bringing in new mandates alongside senior leadership. The role requires both technical depth in structured finance and the commercial maturity to represent the firm directly to clients and investors.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading financial assessment and model-building to support deal structuring and execution strategy
• Owning and developing direct client relationships across the RMBS origination business
• Driving new business origination — identifying and pursuing market opportunities independently
• Leading the preparation of high-quality materials for senior clients and internal stakeholders
• Managing live transactions from origination through execution with minimal senior oversight
• Mentoring and developing junior team members on live deals
• Conducting research and economic analysis to inform advisory and origination strategy

What We're Looking For

• Deep understanding of financial instruments, securitized products, and the broader fixed income market
• Strong proficiency with Bloomberg and related market data or analytics platforms
• Proven experience independently leading financial modeling and deal assessment
• SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 licenses required
• Demonstrated ability to originate and own client relationships, not just execute coverage handed to you
• Willingness to travel up to 5% for client and team collaboration
