Pay Rate: $185,000 – $215,000 annually + incentive compensation (35%) + potential stock options

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a VP of Operations for a well-established aerospace manufacturer This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a strong background in production operations, lean continuous improvement, and developing high-performing operational teams, looking to take the next step in their manufacturing leadership career.
- Lead, coach, and develop 5 direct reports overseeing 140+ indirect employees across production, EHS, maintenance, value stream management, and purchasing
- Own production metrics across safety, quality, delivery, and cost; use data to drive continuous operational improvement targeting 5% annual cost reductions
- Manage P&L accountability; prepare and present operational and financial performance to corporate leadership quarterly – no notes
- Partner with sales and finance to understand incoming work, forecast headcount needs, and make data-driven hiring and staffing decisions
- Oversee procurement and supply chain functions including vendor negotiation, inventory management, and purchasing team oversight
- Ensure EHS and maintenance compliance across a highly audited manufacturing environment (30–40 audits per year)
- Champion lean manufacturing, visual management systems, and a culture of daily continuous improvement across all production operations
- Serve as a hands-on floor leader — visible, approachable, and actively coaching frontline supervisors and managers
- Drive special projects and process improvements; hold operational leaders accountable to results
- Participate in corporate-level strategic planning; this role is structured to develop leaders for advancement within the broader organization
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required
- Background in a supplier or sub-tier manufacturing environment — experience serving OEMs rather than operating as one
- Regulated industry experience required (aerospace, defense, maritime, rail, or medical)
- Minimum 60 employees managed (direct or indirect); shift work oversight experience a plus
- Demonstrated P&L ownership with ability to present financial data to executive leadership confidently
- Supply chain or procurement background required; direct management of a purchasing or procurement function strongly preferred
- Proven track record of data-driven process improvement and cost reduction
- Strong people leadership skills — ability to develop talent, build accountability, and engage a large hourly workforce
