VP – Business Development & AWS Partnership

Location: US (Remote with flexibility to travel)

Reports To: Executive Leadership

Role Overview

As the VP – Business Development & AWS Partnership, you will be at the forefront of driving Applify’s expansion across US. This high-impact role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, carrying dual responsibilities across revenue generation and AWS ecosystem leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Growth Development (50%)

  • Own and grow a high-value, healthy pipeline across SMB and Enterprise segments.
  • Lead new business acquisition across North America, with a strong focus on strategic verticals like Healthcare, SaaS, and AI/ML.
  • Represent Applify at key industry events, thought leadership platforms, and prospect engagements.
  • Drive complex, high-value deal closures with a focus on sustainable top-line growth.
  • Collaborate with BD Heads, Consultants, and Tech Principals to shape tailored GTM strategies.

2. Strategic AWS Alliance & Ecosystem Growth (50%)

  • Deepen AWS-sourced revenue streams including MAP, GenAI PoCs, Marketplace listings, and co-sell motions.
  • Act as Applify’s ambassador within the AWS ecosystem – increasing brand visibility, strengthening relationships, and driving influence-led pipeline.
  • Strategically align with AWS field teams and Partner Development Managers to jointly pursue key accounts.
  • Build and lead a North America-based AWS-focused field team to support revenue and partner goals.
  • Contribute to Applify’s long-term objective of achieving Premier Tier Partner status with AWS.

You’ll work closely with:

  • Head of Business Development (Vertical / Segment, based in Seattle)
  • Head Consultants (Multiple service verticals)
  • Principal Architect / Consultant (Tech leads, India-based with overlapping EU/US support)
  • Central Support Teams (Operating from India but structured to avoid timezone-based delays)

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10–15 years of experience in enterprise sales, partnerships, or strategic alliances.
  • Prior experience in leading GTM or partnership functions within the AWS ecosystem is mandatory.
  • Proven track record of driving multi-million dollar deals and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to represent the brand in boardrooms and AWS leadership forums.
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional global teams.

Compensation Structure

The total compensation package comprises the following components:

Base Salary: A fixed remuneration paid on a monthly or annual basis.

Performance-Based Bonus: Incentives tied to the achievement of defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Sales Commission: Variable earnings based on individual sales performance and revenue contribution.
