Job description

Our SelectLeader's client has been active in the commercial real estate business for over 35 years. They have established a reputation as a premier owner, operator, and developer of office and mixed-use projects throughout the Southeast and Southwest United States. Over the years, they have acquired and managed over 165 properties, totaling 55 million square feet, with $7.0 billion invested.

The Asset Management role involves oversight and strategy implementation within the existing portfolio, handling dispositions, internal and external property valuations, and completing various reports. Responsibilities include strategic investment decision-making, loan surveillance, and investment performance reporting. The position oversees the asset management function for a Class A office property portfolio in South Florida.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare and execute annual business plans and asset management initiatives.
  • Supervise and coordinate external professional teams, including General Managers, Property Managers, leasing agents, communication agencies, lawyers, and project managers.
  • Oversee quarterly reporting to investors, analyzing and explaining variances.
  • Collaborate with internal partners such as accounting, valuation, appraisal, real estate equity, risk management, and legal teams.
  • Assist in data collection for quarterly and annual property valuation processes.
  • Apply real estate industry best practices and problem-solving skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Oversee property management, construction, leasing, and marketing efforts to meet business plan objectives.
  • Contribute to asset dispositions, acquisitions, and development activities as needed.
  • Develop and implement goals for assigned assets aligned with business plans.
  • Prepare property-specific business plans and approve operating budgets annually.
  • Review and recommend assets to maximize owner returns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, tenants, brokers, appraisers, attorneys, and industry peers.
  • Negotiate property-level agreements, including leases, amendments, listing agreements, and management contracts within approved guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in commercial real estate asset management, focusing on office properties.
