Job description

Our SelectLeader's client has been active in the commercial real estate business for over 35 years. They have established a reputation as a premier owner, operator, and developer of office and mixed-use projects throughout the Southeast and Southwest United States. For over 35 years, they have acquired and managed over 165 properties, totaling 55 million square feet, and representing $7.0 billion invested.

The Asset Management role will be involved in the oversight and strategy implementation within the existing portfolio, handling dispositions, working through internal and external property valuations, and completing various reports. Activities include strategic investment decision-making, loan surveillance, and investment performance reporting. This position will oversee the asset management function for a Class A office property portfolio in South Florida.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Prepare and complete annual business plans and asset management initiatives.
2. Supervise and coordinate external professional teams (including General Managers, Property Managers, leasing agents, communication agencies, lawyers, project managers, etc.).
3. Supervise and coordinate the preparation of quarterly reporting to investors, along with analysis and explanation of variances.
4. Interface with internal business partners including accounting, valuation, appraisal, real estate equity, risk management, and law.
5. Assist in data collection for quarterly/annual property valuation processes.
6. Rely on real estate industry best practices and excellent problem-solving skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
7. Oversee property management, construction, leasing, and marketing to meet business plan objectives for assigned assets.
8. Contribute to asset dispositions, acquisitions, and development activities as needed.
9. Develop and implement goals and objectives for assigned assets aligned with business plans.
10. Prepare individual property business plans with asset-level goals and approve operating budgets annually.
11. Review and recommend assets to maximize returns for the owner.
12. Establish and maintain relationships with clients, tenants, brokers, appraisers, attorneys, and industry peers as needed.
13. Negotiate property-level agreements such as leases, amendments, listing agreements, and property management agreements within approved guidelines and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, real estate, or related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in commercial real estate asset management, focusing on office properties.
