Vice President of Accounting

Global Agora is looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Vice President of Accounting to lead and optimize our accounting function across a diverse portfolio of fast-growing businesses. This is a key leadership role overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting across multiple companies.

We’re looking for a detail-obsessed leader who thrives in complex, high-growth environments—someone who can build structure, streamline processes, and support decision-making at the highest levels. If you have deep technical accounting experience, are confident leading small but high performing teams, and can navigate everything from QuickBooks to a Cash Forecast.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting across multiple entities.
• Lead and mentor a small accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and development
• Manage consolidated monthly and quarterly close processes, financial statements, and variance analyses
• Own annual audit preparation and issuance of audited financials
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax laws, and reporting standards
• Manage cash flow, intercompany activity, and investment tracking
• Partner with external CPAs and tax consultants on compliance and filings
• Improve systems and processes (QuickBooks; potential platform migrations)
• Support light financial modeling and project-based analysis for executive decision-making
• Collaborate on entity structuring and reporting with internal and external advisors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (CPA strongly preferred)
• 5+ years in senior accounting roles, a plus if in a multi-entity environment or family office.
• Fluency in GAAP; partnership and investment structure experience a plus
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or other mid-market systems (NetSuite, Intacct, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead lean, high-performance teams
• Experience transitioning processes from manual to automated
• Comfort with light FP&A and scenario modeling
• High integrity, attention to detail, and operational ownership
• Strong communicator who’s calm under pressure and thrives in a fast-moving environment
