The AVP or VP, Accounting is a key member of the Eliant Shared Service Finance team, responsible for managing month-end closings, preparing financial statements and reporting packages, supporting year-end audits, assisting with system implementations and upgrades, developing and documenting processes and procedures, and contributing to ad-hoc projects across multiple Apollo Global Management (“AGM”) platform companies.

This position requires close collaboration with a diverse group of stakeholders, including internal colleagues at various seniority levels, investor representatives, and strategic partners from AGM’s platform companies, spanning multiple departments within AGM.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reporting packages for senior management and investors
• Assist in staff development, including training, mentoring, and performance management
• Lead year-end audit preparations and coordinate with external auditors
• Support the implementation, documentation, and maintenance of internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
• Lead system implementations, enhancements, and upgrades
• Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and cost analyses, providing ongoing variance analysis
• Oversee cash flow management, including disbursements, wire transfers, and funding requirements
• Provide data-driven financial analysis to inform and support strategic business decisions
• Participate in special projects, including financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Relevant work experience at two or more of the following types of companies: Management Companies or Operating Companies within an asset management or alternative investment firm, Public Accounting with exposure to financial services and complex corporate structures, Holding Companies with multi-entity financial operations across multiple jurisdictions, or Financial Services Firms with multiple subsidiaries, such as private equity, asset management, or investment banking

• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in financial services, private equity, or asset management, with a focus on operating company or management company accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a similar quantitative major
• Ability to analyze large data sets and build financial models
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative, with high ethical standards and a proactive mindset
• Collaborative team player with the ability to engage cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical and critical thinking skills with a detailed-oriented approach
• Experience with NetSuite and familiarity with IFRS preferred
• Organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage confidential information and resolve internal differences
• Ability and willingness to adapt and learn

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The individual will be employed under a shared service model which provides services to multiple portfolio companies of AGM.
