Job summary

Westat is seeking a strategic and forward-looking knowledge management leader to strengthen how organizational knowledge is identified, curated, governed, reused, and activated to support growth across the federal marketplace.

This role will advance a modern knowledge management capability that improves access to trusted content, strengthens business development and pursuit effectiveness, and prepares Westat for responsible AI-enabled knowledge use.

Qualifications

10+ years in knowledge management or related fields.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Knowledge Management, or related field.
Experience supporting federal business development, capture, proposals preferred.
Ability to design taxonomy, metadata, content governance, and asset lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Develop and advance an enterprise knowledge management strategy aligned with business priorities.
Lead classification, tagging, curation, and lifecycle management of knowledge assets.
Lead AI readiness and enablement for responsible use with AI tools.
Support business development by enabling teams to access and reuse knowledge assets.
Establish governance, standards, and quality practices for knowledge assets.
Mentor staff and build organizational capability in KM.
