TJX Companies in Framingham, MA seeks an experienced Senior Industrial Engineer leader to drive labor standards, capacity modeling, and productivity improvements across store operations. You will partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Store Design to translate engineering rigor into measurable store performance and customer experience gains.

The role focuses on designing labor standards, implementing governance, and developing ROI-driven MHE and automation strategies for a retail fleet.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in an engineering leadership capacity.
• 10+ years industrial engineering experience in distribution environment or retail.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Deep knowledge of industrial engineering and IT systems used in time and motion studies.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and project management skills.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including MS Project and databases.

Responsibilities

• Own the development, maintenance, and governance of labor standards across all in-store work activities.
• Apply time study, work sampling, and regression-based modeling to build defensible standards.
• Establish governance with documentation, version control, and change management.
• Partner with Workforce Management to integrate standards into forecasting and budgets.
• Develop workload forecasts from volume drivers and store/task levels.
• Develop store capacity models for throughput across receiving, backroom, and sales areas.
• Lead productivity improvement initiatives including process redesign and optimization.
• Build business cases for productivity investments and measure savings post-implementation.
• Translate engineering work into clear narratives for executive audiences.
