Job summary

BNY is seeking a Vice President, Operational Sustainability to join the Corporate Real Estate team at the New York headquarters. You will lead the global sustainability strategy for operations and facilities, drive initiatives to cut carbon, and oversee capital programs across data centers and offices.

The role requires 5–7 years of leadership in corporate sustainability, a focus on governance and processes, and experience delivering capital projects like solar or fuel cells.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability,Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.
• 5-7 years leading a corporate sustainability team with focus on strategy, governance and processes.
• Experience delivering sustainability capital projects (e.g., solar, fuel cells).

Responsibilities

• Lead global operational sustainability strategy across operations and facilities.
• Identify initiatives to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental performance.
• Prepare annual sustainability capital program and business cases.
• Directly manage implementation of sustainability capital projects at data centers and offices.
• Support development of net-zero commitments including RECs or vPPAs.
• Evaluate long-term sustainability investments and related strategies.
• Provide guidance for sustainability reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Corporate Sustainability Hub on long-term strategies and reporting.
