Bloomberg in New York is seeking a strategic, commercially minded Sustainability Manager to lead the Global Sustainability Office, reporting to the Sustainability Officer and guiding a four-person team. You will own the enterprise Decarbonization Plan, set reduction pathways across Scope 1–3, engaging stakeholders across Procurement, Finance, Real Estate, Legal, Risk and IT.

Also responsible for climate scenario analysis, ESG reporting, regulatory compliance, and presenting to senior leadership

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years in corporate sustainability, decarbonization planning, carbon markets, ESG reporting, or sustainable operations.
• Experience leading teams or acting as a player-coach in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience designing enterprise Decarbonization Plans, including margins, Scope 1–3 reduction roadmaps, and tracking.
• Proven ability to build high-trust relationships across a broad stakeholder group.

Aufgaben

• Lead day-to-day execution for a dedicated 4-person team with mentorship and direction.
• Own and execute the enterprise Decarbonization Plan with science-aligned reduction pathways and milestones.
• Cultivate relationships with internal teams and external partners to drive cross-functional alignment.
• Participate in climate stress testing and scenario analyses to assess resilience against climate-related risks.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and decision frameworks to senior management.
• Oversee enterprise ESG reporting, ensuring data integrity and audit-readiness across disclosures.
• Monitor and translate evolving global climate regulations into operational strategy.
• Lead change-management efforts to drive adoption of sustainability initiatives.
• Direct engagement with environmental markets (carbon accounting, VCM/CCM, carbon credits, PPAs).
• Maintain the carbon balance sheet and GHG inventory, coordinating with data providers.
