The selected candidate will be responsible for leading financial planning, analytics, and strategic support while collaborating with senior management. Key qualifications include an MBA and significant experience in financial roles within a healthcare context, ensuring financial objectives are met effectively.
Our client is a Fortune 500 Healthcare company seeking a VP Finance with Healthcare Payer experience.
The VP Finance leads all of the financial planning and analysis functions for the Health Plan. This includes responsibility for revenue and claims accounting, which includes complex estimation in several areas. This responsibility involves working extensively with the operational areas and actuaries to ensure that processes are optimized to exceed customer expectations, appropriate controls are in place, and issues are identified and solved in a timely manner.
The VP Finance is also responsible for development of the annual budget for the health plan, development of the annual financial plan, monthly budget analytics, forecasting, monthly financial analytics on all lines of business within the health plan, defining relevant performance metrics, interpreting trends and status related to those metrics, and identifying risks and opportunities related thereto.
This role will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing partner presentations, financial presentations, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities and other projects requested by senior management. The VP will provide critical insight to the CFO and CEO in business development efforts, including coordinating the preparation and presentation of business cases related to those efforts.
The VP is accountable for identifying medical cost improvements from pricing and utilization and drive for improvement. This individual will oversee the development of pricing and rate development. The VP will also oversee assigned actuarial support and implement sound actuarial policies and practices to help meet its financial objectives. This individual will provide advanced support for the claim reserve process.
The Vice President Finance will interact extensively with all areas within Health Plan.
