Role: Managing Director - Consumer Investment Banking

About the Role:

Our client, a well recognized boutique investment bank, is actively seeking a seasoned Managing Director to drive origination and execution efforts within the Consumer sector. This role is ideal for a senior banker with a proven ability to generate significant revenue and lead transformational deals across verticals such as retail, food & beverage, beauty & personal care, e-commerce, apparel, and consumer services. You will spearhead deal flow, manage key relationships, and oversee full transaction lifecycles. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of producing $3M+ annually and be ready to leverage a global platform with full remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate and execute M&A, private placements, and strategic advisory transactions within the consumer vertical.
• Maintain and grow a portfolio of C-level client relationships.
• Lead deal teams in delivering high-quality execution from start to finish.
• Mentor junior professionals and contribute to strategic growth initiatives across the firm.
• Collaborate globally to harness institutional knowledge and multi-market opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to originate $3M+ in annual revenue from consumer-focused investment banking.
• Broad & deep expertise across the consumer industry, including sub-sectors like DTC, Retail, Beauty and food & beverage.
• 10+ years of investment banking experience with at least 5 years at the MD level.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Active FINRA Series 79 and 63 licenses (or equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
