Qualifications

Position Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Finance to lead our finance and accounting function with operational excellence and strategic insight. This role will serve as a key business partner to leadership, driving financial clarity across the organization while ensuring excellence in accounting, compliance, and controls.

The ideal candidate has a strong controllership foundation (audit-ready mindset, systems orientation, and cash discipline) combined with FP&A experience supporting a growth-stage or digital business.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Controllership
  2. Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and revenue recognition
  3. Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP
  4. Manage all external financial reporting, audit processes, and tax compliance in coordination with external firms
  5. Develop and enhance internal controls, financial policies, and scalable accounting processes
  6. Oversee treasury management, cash forecasting, banking relationships, and investment policies
  7. Manage financial systems and lead initiatives to automate workflows and improve data integrity
  8. Lead corporate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, partnering closely with department heads
  9. Provide real-time financial insights and strategic recommendations to the executive team
  10. Develop and analyze financial models to evaluate business scenarios and growth investments, leveraging deep understanding of marketing, digital acquisition, retention strategies, and call center operations to drive data-informed decisions and optimize ROI
  11. Support board and investor reporting through the preparation of dashboards, narratives, and strategic insights; attend board meetings to present financial updates and high-level discussions
  12. Monitor KPIs and performance drivers to improve accountability and decision-making
Qualifications:
  1. 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally including startup or growth-stage environments
  2. Strong controllership background with deep GAAP knowledge; CPA preferred
  3. Experience building or optimizing FP&A functions and cross-functional partnership
  4. Strong analytical, modeling, and presentation skills with attention to detail and strategic thinking
  5. Proficiency with NetSuite, Excel/Google Sheets, and FP&A tools
  6. Proven leadership in managing teams and developing talent
  7. Experience in technology-driven, consumer-oriented, or marketplace businesses is a plus
