CFO Recruit is pleased to partner with a UK-headquartered, founder-led services business in the search for a Vice President of Finance based in the United States. While the company maintains a small U.S. office, this role is fully remote. A growing startup, the business has demonstrated consistent growth through organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. With a strong trajectory set to continue, this role offers a compelling opportunity for a finance leader to join the executive team and contribute both operationally and strategically. This position is ideally suited for a VP of Finance, Finance Director, or CFO from a startup or small organization eager to step into a high-impact role within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.

The Vice President of Finance will be responsible for:

  1. Owning the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring financial plans are grounded in sound assumptions and aligned with strategic objectives across all business units and geographies.
  2. Acting as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and executive team, providing high-quality, data-driven insights into financial performance, profitability drivers, and business trends to support informed decision-making and resource allocation.
  3. Developing and tracking key financial and operational performance metrics, establishing dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility into revenue growth, margins, unit economics, customer acquisition costs, and ROI.
  4. Collaborating with leaders across Sales, Marketing, and Operations to translate business initiatives into financial plans, evaluating the financial impact of strategic projects, pricing decisions, and new market launches.
  5. Managing consolidated financials and reporting across international operations and acquisitions, ensuring accurate intercompany accounting, harmonized reporting standards, and operational integration of new entities.
  6. Ensuring effective cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization to support growth initiatives, and liaising with banks, investors, or funding partners as needed.
  7. Supporting financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and contributing to deal structuring, ensuring smooth financial integration post-acquisition, aligned reporting, and performance monitoring.
  8. Designing and implementing scalable financial processes, internal controls, and systems to support a growing, multi-country organization, championing automation and efficiency improvements.
  9. Preparing and delivering clear, compelling financial reports and presentations for the Board of Directors, providing context and strategic insights.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience as a senior finance leader, with experience in transaction advisory services/deal services.
  • Strong FP&A, strategic finance, and commercial acumen; experience supporting C-level stakeholders and board reporting.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences, with excellent data analysis skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks preferred and excellent Excel modeling experience required.
  • Track record of building and leading finance teams through rapid change and scaling.
  • Experience with international operations is a strong plus.

The compensation advertised for this role is a guideline; the actual offer will be commensurate with experience.
