The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced and strategic VP of Finance Operations to lead and scale our finance infrastructure as we continue our global expansion. This role is mission-critical to optimizing core financial processes, driving automation in AR/AP, and aligning finance operations with our product and AI innovation roadmap.

You’ll lead all operational aspects of finance—ensuring compliance, driving efficiencies, and delivering real-time financial insights across the organization. This is a high-impact leadership role that will work cross-functionally and directly with the CEO, with the opportunity to shape the next phase of Pockyt’s growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own and Scale Core Finance Operations

• Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of financial policies and internal controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Oversee end-to-end financial operations, including AR/AP, reconciliation, reporting, and cash flow management.
• Drive the development and automation of merchant-facing and partner-facing financial workflows.

2. Build a Next-Generation Finance Stack

• Collaborate with product and AI teams to build automation into financial processes—including reporting, reconciliation, and payouts—through custom tools and integrations.
• Champion a data-first approach to finance, enabling self-serve dashboards, real-time insights, and audit-ready systems.

3. Cross-Functional Partnership

• Serve as a strategic advisor to product, engineering, business, compliance, and operations teams.
• Provide finance leadership in go-to-market decisions, pricing models, and product monetization strategy.
• Lead financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support executive decision-making and investor reporting.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to prepare board materials and fundraising narratives grounded in strong financial metrics.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA a plus)
• 8+ years of experience in finance operations or FP&A, ideally in a fast-growing fintech or payments company
• Deep understanding of accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and international financial operations
• Strong track record in scaling finance systems and processes through automation
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and leadership levels

Bonus Points For

• Experience in the payments, SaaS, or cross-border commerce sectors
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tools (e.g., NetSuite, Stripe, Looker, Airbase, or custom-built solutions)
• Passion for AI and using technology to build intelligent financial systems
