Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
• CPA strongly preferred; MBA a plus.

• Proven ability to operate strategically while maintaining hands-on oversight of core accounting functions.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience in a smaller or high-growth environment where building and improving systems and processes has been part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain a strong internal controls environment.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and relationships with external auditors and advisors.
• Implement and continuously improve accounting systems, processes, and policies.
• Lead financial planning and analysis, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Build and maintain financial models to support business decisions, scenario planning, and investment evaluation.
• Deliver clear, actionable reporting and dashboards to senior leadership and stakeholders.

A growing boutique consumer brand is seeking a seasoned VP of Accounting & Finance to serve as the company's senior financial leader. This is a critical hire for a business at an exciting stage of growth - the right person will bring both the technical accounting rigor and the strategic financial acumen needed to help leadership make smart, confident decisions as the company scales.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Accounting & Finance will own the full finance and accounting function - from the integrity of the books to long-range financial planning. This person will be a true thought partner to the executive team, translating numbers into insight and building the financial infrastructure to support sustainable growth. In a boutique environment, this role requires someone equally comfortable at the strategic level and willing to be hands-on where needed.

What You'll Do

Accounting & Controls
