Job description

ANSR is seeking a Vice President, Engagement Lead to own the end-to-end launch and setup of Global Capability Centers for our U.S. clients. The incumbent will partner closely with client organizations to inform, influence and advise on design and policy decisions to enable the setup of these centers in the quickest possible time and with the highest levels of quality – in addition the you incumbent will work with global teams to ensure that decisions made are implemented with institutional rigor.

  • • Own end-to-end delivery of GCC launch programs — from mobilization through Day-1 go live and early stabilization — managing scope, timeline, budget, and risk across every workstream.
  • • Build and drive integrated teams that span legal/finance/tax, real estate/site selection, talent acquisition, org design, HR systems, Employer Branding, End User Computing, and infrastructure readiness.
  • • Run the operating rhythm of the engagement: steering committees, workstream syncs, RAID/issue tracking, and status reporting to keep client and ANSR teams aligned and moving.
  • • Proactively identify and resolve execution roadblocks — vendor delays, hiring bottlenecks, decision gridlock — before they threaten the timeline.
  • • Lead the transition from setup to steady-state operations, ensuring the client organization is equipped to run the center independently.
  • • Act as the day-to-day leader embedded with the client's GCC PMO, often functioning as an extension of their leadership rather than an outside advisor.
  • • Build trusted working relationships with client stakeholders across HR, Real Estate, IT, Finance, and business unit leadership — the full cast of functions a GCC launch touches.
  • • Drive decisions and alignment among client stakeholders who may not naturally agree, keeping the program moving without waiting for perfect consensus.
  • • Escalate and manage up effectively — knowing when an issue needs client executive attention versus when to resolve it within the working team.
  • • Manage cross-functional delivery teams — talent acquisition, real estate, HR/people operations, legal/compliance, and technology — coordinating across U.S. and India-based teams to execute the launch plan.
  • • Hold internal workstream owners accountable to deliverables and timelines with the same rigor applied to the client side.
  • • Coach and develop team members supporting the engagement, building delivery capability for future launches.
  • • Manage engagement economics — staffing, utilization, and budget — for assigned accounts.
Strategic Advisory
  • • Advise client leadership on operating model, sourcing strategy, and organizational design decisions that shape the GCC’s long-term success.
  • • Bring pattern-recognition from prior launches to flag risks and recommend course corrections early.
  • • Contribute engagement learnings back into ANSR's playbooks, frameworks, and launch methodology.
Qualifications
  • • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is desirable but not an imperative .
  • • 15+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional program or operational launches — GCC/GBS setup, shared services stand-up, site launches, M&A integration, or similar large-scale operational builds.
  • • Direct experience launching or scaling a Global Capability Center, Global Business Services organization, or comparable o shore/onshore operations center strongly preferred.
  • • Track record of owning a delivery timeline and budget end-to-end, not just advising on one — this role is measured on things actually getting built and opened.
  • • Experience leading distributed, cross-functional teams, including coordination with India based or other onshore teams.
  • • Strong program management discipline: comfortable running RAID logs, integrated timelines, and steering committee cadences, not just PowerPoint strategy decks.
  • • Ability to operate effectively inside a client organization, building credibility as a hands‑on leader rather than an outside consultant.
  • • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the judgment to know when to drive a decision versus escalation one.
  • • Willingness to travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) as engagements require, including extended on‑site presence during active launch phases.
  • • PMP, Six Sigma, Agile, or equivalent program management certification is a plus.
What Success Looks Like in Year One
  • • Successfully launched multiple GCC from mobilization to Day-1 operations, on time and within budget after shadowing through a client engagement process during your first 3 months.
  • • Built an effective working cadence with ANSR's cross‑functional delivery teams across geographies.
  • • Contributed process and playbook improvements back into ANSR's launch methodology based on lessons learned.
