Job summary

Deep Centered Mental Health, a growing outpatient behavioral health organization with 15 clinics across Texas, seeks a Vice President of Clinical Operations to provide strategic and operational oversight of clinical and facility operations. You will lead a team serving therapists, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners, ensuring high-quality, efficient care across all locations.

Collaborate with the CMO and COO, establish standards, optimize workflows, and scale systems to support growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of progressive healthcare operations management experience.
• Experience in psychiatry or behavioral health practice.
• Experience overseeing provider operations across multiple locations.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Job description

The Vice President of Clinical Operations will oversee the operational delivery of care across our 15 outpatient clinics in Texas. This newly created leadership role will provide strategic and operational oversight across two primary areas: clinical operations and facility operations. The VP will oversee operations supporting more than 230 therapists, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners while ensuring consistent, efficient, and high-quality operations across all clinic locations.

The VP will partner closely with the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Operations Officer to strengthen operational standards, optimize workflows, support effective clinical operations, and ensure consistency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Operations

• Provide leadership and operational oversight across the organization’s clinical practices and provider teams.

• Establish and maintain consistent operational standards across locations and clinical teams.

• Evaluate operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and patient experience.

• Partner with clinical leadership to support effective provider operations and organizational priorities.

• Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Lead the implementation of operational initiatives and ensure consistent execution across the organization.

Facility Operations

• Oversee the operational management of the organization’s 15 clinic locations.

• Establish consistent standards for clinic operations and ensure effective execution across locations.

• Partner with site leadership to address operational needs and support an effective patient and team experience.

• Evaluate staffing, resources, and operational needs across locations.

• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and functionality of clinic operations.

Leadership & Organizational Development

• Partner directly with the COO and CMO on organization-wide clinical operations and strategic operational priorities.

• Build scalable systems, processes, and standards to support the organization’s continued development.

• Lead cross-functional operational initiatives and drive accountability for execution.

• Provide leadership and support to operational teams across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Healthcare Management, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• 5-10 years of progressive healthcare operations management experience.

• Experience working within a psychiatry or behavioral health practice required.

• Experience overseeing provider operations across multiple locations.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across clinical and administrative teams

• Proven ability to lead with empathy, professionalism, and accountability.
