Job description

A global contract logistics provider is seeking a Vice President of Business Change Management to lead the design, governance, and execution of change across its Contract Logistics business in North America and Latin America. This leader owns successful adoption and value realization across client implementations, WMS upgrades and migrations, continuous improvement program deployments, operations support, process engineering, and safety/security/quality/sustainability initiatives.

The role also chairs a global standardization focus area as head of a cross-regional change management steering committee - setting annual program focus areas and targets and coordinating progress across regions. This leader steps into a stable, mature operating environment with strong foundational systems already in place, building capability rather than rebuilding from scratch.

Americas-Specific Accountabilities

• Own the Americas change portfolio for strategic programs and client implementations, including mandatory migration programs and priority initiatives (DC migrations, client system integrations, regional platform upgrades).
• Land the WMS transition strategy and related roadmaps across the Americas, coordinating with global owners and country teams to sequence cutovers and mitigate operational risk.
• Regional governance and cadence: Run Americas change management forums, project boards, and performance reviews; ensure alignment with divisional governance and country execution rhythms.
• Capability building: Oversee Canada and LATAM teams to ensure consistent use of best practice across all functional areas, while maintaining direct reporting line oversight of the US country team.
• Localization at scale: Adapt global methods, communications, training, and readiness approaches to Americas languages, cultures, and regulations while protecting global standards.
• Champion enterprise-grade service standards across the contract logistics organization and integrate them across all six functional areas.
• Standardization and methods: Co-develop and enforce global standards, artifacts, and KPIs across regions.
• Functional area orchestration: Ensure seamless handoffs across Project Management & Training, Applications & Integration, Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, Operations & Launch Support, and Safety/Security/Sustainability/Quality - with clear roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths.
• Portfolio visibility: Maintain an accurate, risk-aware view of the change portfolio, resourcing, and benefits tracking; feed division-level governance with status, risk/issue, and value realization narratives.
• Peer alignment: Partner with regional change management heads (APAC, Europe, MEA) to share lessons learned and resources and synchronize approaches for global clients and cross-border rollouts.

Primary Activities

• Change strategy and planning: Lead divisional objectives within the region; manage stakeholders, change impacts, and integrated change plans tied to centralized project/program lifecycles.
• Communications and engagement: Craft executive narratives, country toolkits, FAQs, and leader briefings aligned to Americas needs and global messaging.
• Governance and reporting: Drive disciplined reporting across schedule, budget, scope, quality, and adoption; elevate risks and issues appropriately.
• Continuous improvement: Harvest lessons learned across projects and regions; refresh standards and templates; mentor change management leads.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
• Minimum 10 years in supply chain / warehouse ("four walls") roles, with extensive experience in new business implementations and driving continuous improvement and financial savings in operations
• 5+ years in a VP or VP-equivalent operating role (VP, COO, Senior Director at a major 3PL or logistics organization), including prior leadership of senior leaders
• Direct 3PL / contract logistics experience - non-negotiable. Background with a large-scale contract logistics provider is strongly preferred
• Proven cross-functional leadership across a minimum of 4-5 functional areas, or demonstrated ability to lead across silos
• Global experience and comfort operating in matrixed, multi-regional organizations
• Track record of building or optimizing operations with a clear grasp of operational economics
• Experience with hyperscaler customers or fast-moving, scaled logistics environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Spanish highly desired
