Job summary

Stoughton Parts Sales is seeking a senior leader to drive global export operations across North America and manage US import activities. You will steer a skilled logistics team, oversee procurement initiatives, and shape a 2–3 year strategy focused on efficiency and sustainability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in logistics or related field with 8+ years in logistics procurement and supply chain, including freight management; some travel is expected.

  • 8+ years of experience in logistics procurement and supply chain management with hands-on freight management.
  • Some travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for global export operations across North America (US, Canada and Mexico) and oversee US import operations.
  • Direct a high-performing team of logistics professionals, from analysts to senior logistics managers.
  • Own and execute all international logistics sourcing and procurement initiatives, including contract negotiations, RFPs, and supplier relationship management.
  • Develop and implement a 2–3 year logistics strategy focused on network optimization, cost efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Build and maintain tactical and operational logistics plans based on volume forecasts and resource alignment.
  • Lead the design and selection of strategic consolidation hubs for global direct material flows.
  • Drive PO-level visibility from order placement through delivery using real-time tracking tools.
  • Oversee qualifications, selection, and performance management of logistics providers.
  • Partner with best-in-class logistics providers aligned with goals for quality, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with trade compliance and regional logistics teams for end-to-end alignment and regulatory adherence.
  • Define performance targets and KPIs for logistics and procurement teams; report on service, cost and savings.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
  • Deliver monthly reporting on financial performance, cost savings and procurement impact.
