Job summary

The ideal candidate is board-certified in Internal Medicine or subspecialty, with leadership experience and a track record of improving outcomes within a complex healthcare system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine and/or an Internal Medicine subspecialty.
• Minimum three years of experience after completing residency or fellowship.
• Preferred experience in quality improvement with publications and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality improvement initiatives across the Department of Medicine for inpatient and ambulatory care.
• Chair the Department of Medicine Quality Council and the Peer Review Committee; oversee case reviews, OPPE, and FPPE.
• Develop and manage quality dashboards to identify areas for improvement and track progress.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards.
• Collaborate with the Office of Patient Experience to enhance patient care.
• Create quality and safety programs for residents and fellows, and mentor faculty in quality improvement.
• Promote research and publications in the field of quality and safety.
