Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a R&D Laboratory Support Technologist for our System-Level Vibration Testing Laboratory. You will support dynamic characterization and large-scale vibration testing, collaborating with engineers to realize concepts and deliver on complex projects.

The role emphasizes instrumentation, data acquisition, and safety. The position requires onsite work and potential involvement with nuclear deterrence systems, offering opportunities in a premier national lab

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a STEM field or equivalent combined education/experience.
• 4+ years exempt/non-exempt experience alternatively with high school diploma.
• Laboratory testing experience and troubleshoot/repair of test equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to realize ideas and meet project goals.
• Develop, build, modify, repair, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Install instrumentation on test articles and maintain data acquisition systems.
• Assist with data analysis, interpretation, and publication efforts.
• Contribute to safety, security, and quality in operations.
