The Architect will lead architectural and operational efforts, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations, incident resolution, and controlled enhancements across identity validation and card issuance workflows.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Identity and Card Services Architect to provide architectural and operational leadership for the Department of Veterans Affairs' Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) identity and card services. The role focuses on maintaining reliable day-to-day operations, resolving system issues, supporting integrations and identity validation, managing card issuance and replacement processes, and delivering approved enhancements.

Required Skills

Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Understanding of identity validation and identity lifecycle processes.
Knowledge of system integration and troubleshooting.
Ability to support operational reliability, issue resolution, and system enhancements.

Preferred Skills

Experience supporting identity and credentialing platforms.
Experience with card issuance, replacement, and related service operations.
Experience with enterprise system integrations and operational support.
Experience supporting government or healthcare IT systems.
