Job summary

SSI, Inc. is seeking field service technicians to work on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in commercial HVAC settings. The role covers installation, startup, troubleshooting, and ongoing service for VFDs controlling pumps and fans in large facilities.

Travel to client sites within the service area is required; a valid driver's license is essential, and compensation includes travel time and mileage. Experience with AHUs, cooling towers, and building management systems is a plus; strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on VFD experience in the field.
• Prior experience with VFDs as they apply to AHUs, pump applications, and cooling towers is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the HVAC loop, circuitry, and schematics.
• Building Management Systems experience / working knowledge.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work and learn.

Responsibilities

• Install, start up, troubleshoot, and service VFDs.
• Operate hand and power tools, run wires, conduit work, and use measuring tools.
• Travel to clients.
