Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Service Technician VFD to install, startup, troubleshoot, and service variable frequency drives in commercial HVAC systems across multiple sites. The role demands hands-on work with VFDs powering pumps and fans in facilities such as hospitals, universities, and government buildings.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field VFD experience, familiarity with AHUs, pumps, cooling towers, and HVAC circuitry; a valid driver's license is required and the ability to lift 75

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on VFD experience in the field.
• Prior experience with VFDs as they apply to AHUs, pump applications, and cooling towers is a plus.
• Working knowledge of the HVAC loop, circuitry, and schematics.
• Building Management Systems experience / working knowledge
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to work and learn

• Knowing proper operation of hand and power tools, running wires, conduit work, and use of electronic measuring tools – multi-meters, amp clamps, and harmonic analyzers

Role: Service Technician VFDWe are seeking field service technician both experienced and entry level to work on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in the commercial HVAC market. These drives are used to control motor speeds on pumps and fans in large commercial buildings such as hospitals, universities, schools, water treatment plants, government and commercial offices. Our technicians work with large AC Voltages up to 480VDC as well as small control voltages such as 24VDC.
